A WORK IN PROGRESS! -- SO IGNORE THE MESS!!!

The breakfast nook: before any work was done.

After wall paper and paneling was removed.
What have we gotten ourselves into???

A lot of scrubbing, sanding and paint!
We've subsequently removed the bakers rack & coat rack and painted pink to match the rest of the kitchen.

The window, before replacement.
What you can't see is that the entire inside sill is rotted out.

The window undergoing a transformation!

Completely installed, but we still have to paint!

The small side of the kitchen, one cabinet has been removed in this photo. It will be redesigned so that the refrigerator is on the left-hand side.

All it needs now is the counter top and the trim on the bottom!

This is the day we moved in! To the left of the stove is a space, and then the refrigerator. There are no other cabinets on this wall or beyond the fridge. The cabinet closest to you in the photo was replaced with a dishwasher before the remodel.

OMG! Is this wall ever gonna look smooth again??!

A whole lotta spackle, or as Courtney call it: "product!"

What you see here is the entire area to the left of the stove where the fridge (and no cabinets) used to be. We screwed wood strips into the wall to help support the cabinets and keep them level while we installed them.

The nearly finished product, starting on the far left. We still need to touch up the paint, install the counters, and install the kickplates. Eventually, I'd like to put a microwave above the stove. Opposite this area, on the other side of the door leading to the diningroom (which is to the left of the cabinets you see), is the small section of cabinets and the refrigerator that is posted above.

Moving further right... We need to install the dishwasher side-panel, but we have to wait for the counter so we can attach it. We also need to finish installing the face and doors on the sink cabinet but we've left them off to allow more room to install the sink.

Here's a vertical shot so that you can see the tops of the cabinets. We elected to forgo the crown moulding (it is supposed to run along the tops of the cabinets). It's hard to intall, expensive, and we figured it looked ok without it.

A different perspective... standing outside the in the diningroom looking to the left of the kitchen.
